12-year-old suffers life-threatening injuries after vehicle collides with scooter in City of Delavan

CITY OF DELAVAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 12-year-old is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after getting hit by a vehicle on Friday, May 15.

Police say a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old collided with the 12-year-old at the intersection of South Second Street and East Wisconsin Street at about 3:34 p.m. 

The victim was taken to the hospital by emergency crews via Flight for Life. 

Officials say the 16-year-old driver is cooperating with law enforcement. The Wisconsin State Patrol has been requested to assist with the investigation.
