14-year-old killed in shooting near 39th and Vliet, woman arrested

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that killed a 14-year-old child Thursday, Aug. 15. 

He was identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office Friday as Alijah Golden-Richmond. 

The shooting happened around 3:15 p.m. near 39th and Vliet. 

Police say the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he died of his injuries. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. 

Milwaukee police said Friday a 22-year-old woman was arrested, and criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee DA's Office. Two persons of interest were also arrested, a 46-year-old woman and 19-year-old woman.
