14-year-old shot near 27th and McKinley

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that happened Saturday, Dec. 4, near 27th and McKinley.

Police say the shooting occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Authorities report that the victim, a 14-year-old Milwaukee female, suffered a gunshot wound to the left thigh and was transported to a local hospital by Milwaukee Fire Department personnel.

Officials say she is expected to survive.

Milwaukee police announced that the circumstances leading up to the shooting appear to be accidental.

Law enforcement is reportedly seeking a known suspect in relation to the shooting.
