Suspect arrested in connection to Sheboygan shooting that killed man, injured woman

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say an 18-year-old man from Milwaukee was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 27, in connection to a shooting that killed a man and injured a woman in Sheboygan Saturday, Jan. 17. 

Officials say the woman is still recovering from her injuries. 

Charges will be referred to the Sheboygan County DA's office.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Sheboygan police say a 19-year-old man is dead and an 18-year-old woman is hospitalized following a shooting inside a residence on Saturday, Jan. 17.

Police responded to the shooting scene shortly after 8:00 p.m., near S. 10th Street and Alabama Avenue.

Officers located both victims who had both been shot. 

Emergency crews provided aid immediately and transported the 19-year-old to Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, where he died as a result of his injuries.

The 18-year-old victim was taken to St. Nicholas Hospital for emergency care before being transferred to a hospital in Green Bay.

The suspects fled the scene prior to officers' arrival.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing, as no arrests have been made. 

Preliminary information indicates that all parties knew each other and that it was an isolated incident.
