CBS 58 MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) — Two people are in custody after an armed robbery connected to a Facebook Marketplace sale in Muskego, police said.
The Muskego Police Department responded shortly after 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, to a home near Thornapple Drive and Thornapple Court.
Police said two male suspects had fled before officers arrived.
A preliminary investigation found the suspects went to the home to purchase items arranged through Facebook Marketplace. After loading the items into their vehicle, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a handgun.
Police said one shot was fired during the robbery before the suspects fled with the stolen items.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators identified the suspects as a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, both from Milwaukee. With assistance from the Milwaukee Police Department, both were taken into custody in the following days.
The investigation remains ongoing.
