2 dead after small plane heading for Wisconsin crashes on highway in Massachusetts

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (CBS 58) -- A small plane traveling from Dartmouth, Massachusetts to Kenosha, Wisconsin, crashed Monday morning, Oct. 13 -- killing two people.
According to our CBS affiliate, WPRI, the plane took off at 8:08 a.m. and around 8:15 a.m., Massachusetts State Police were called to the scene of the crash on I-195 in Dartmouth. Flight radar shows the aircraft reached an altitude of about 775 feet, then started dropping shortly after.
The plane ultimately came to rest in the median, shutting down the highway in both directions.
WPRI says one person, who was not on the plane, was transported to a hospital with injuries.
The identities of the victims on the plane have not been released.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will lead the investigation.
