MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Officials say that two firefighters were injured during a battle with a house fire near 15th and Meinecke in Milwaukee Thursday, Nov. 25.
Authorities tell CBS 58 that firefighters were called to a blaze at what is reportedly a vacant home around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Crews on scene say the fire extended to all three levels of the home and, at one point, got so intense that fire crews had to evacuate personnel from the building.
Officials report that one firefighter fell through the floor of the house during the battle with the fire, while another firefighter suffered burns.
Both firefighters were reportedly transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
Authorities say the home is a total loss as a result of the blaze.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
