MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Three teens are now in custody in connection with a deadly shooting in an alley in Milwaukee's Harbor District.

The assistant district attorney said two of the teens in custody are well known in the juvenile justice system.

35-year-old David Krause was shot and killed during a robbery April 14.

On Thursday, April 23, one of the teens involved—a 14-year-old boy—had a hearing in juvenile court.

The hearing determined whether the 14-year-old would be kept in custody or released.

David Krause's family pleaded for the court to keep him from endangering the community.

Kevin Krause told the court, "We are begging, begging the court to keep this assailant in custody."

Assistant District Attorney Claire Roehre said, "Based on the petition, he has shown a complete disregard for human life."

Ultimately, court commissioner Katryna Childs Rhodes agreed. She said, "These allegations are incredibly violent, dangerous, scary."

The 14-year-old is only being identified by his initials, SD. He's charged with two felonies: murder during an armed robbery, and attempted armed robbery.

It was the evening of April 14th when the boy suspect and a car full of teens tried to rob 35-year-old David Krause.

Police told Krause's family he got into a car at the gas station at 1st and Mineral. Three blocks away, Krause was shot and killed in an alley.

Another teen pulled the trigger.

Roehre said in court, "A juvenile shot the victim while SD and another suspect were trying to rob him."

Krause's family spoke with us earlier in the week.

His mother, Diane Krause, said, "David was caught in the storm, seeking some shelter, asked some people for a ride home, and that's when he was gunned down."

They also spoke during the hearing.

Kevin Krause said, "The person that is now in custody is dangerous to the community."

Three teens are in custody, but one suspect is still on the loose.

"This person also knows the identities of the other suspects involved in the crime," Kevin Krause said. "Including the gunman who murdered our son."

In addition to the 14-year-old boy, Milwaukee police has also arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl.

The Milwaukee Police Department is still looking for one more suspect.
