MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Thirty children's charities in southeast Wisconsin were selected as winners at this year's Heart of Canal Street event, Potawatomi Casino Hotel's signature charity giving program.

This year's campaign raised $722,380, according to Potawatomi, meaning each charity selected will receive $24,079.

Of the organizations awarded, Potawatomi says 26 were chosen randomly, four media outlets worked with a partner charity, and the remaining charity was chosen by a Potawatomi team member through an essay contest.
