Officials believe the person of interest, 33-year-old Marckus L.A. Plaza, is still in the area surrounding 75th St. and 22nd Avenue.

Police say Marckus is believed to be traveling on foot and has been attempting to find transportation out of the area. He has ties to Kenosha and Lake Geneva.

Marckus is described as a Black male, about 5'6", 190 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing dark-colored sweatpants and a white tank top.

Police say to use caution in the area and call 911 immediately if you see this person.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 262-606-5203.

CBS 58 obtained court documents describing a violent scene Wednesday morning. Court filings and police scanner audio describe a domestic call that turned into an all-day search.

Officers and K-9s filled the intersection of 75th and 22nd in Kenosha early Wednesday as Bobby Johnson woke up.

“I’m laying down in the bed, everything dark, and I just start hearing lights, screeching tires, I thought it was a high-speed chase at first because I kept hearing the tires scratching all that stuff," Johnson said.

According to court documents, police were called to the home for a welfare check on a woman after her friend told police her estranged husband, Marckus Plaza, was getting physical with her.

Officers came to the scene, where Plaza identified himself with a fake name. Police saw Plaza dragging a body in the home.

Once officers got in the home, Plaza could be seen hopping a fence.

They found the woman in the basement of the home, stabbed, with her cellphone bent in half.

Two children were inside the home.

“I’ve seen him at the gas station before," Johnson said. "I’ve never would have thought nothing. He seemed like a cool dude, held the door as he came in with his kids.”

We also obtained records of a restraining order filed by the alleged victim. Authorities have not formally identified her at this time.

Officers are still searching for Plaza, charged with first degree intentional homicide using a dangerous weapon.
