36-year-old injured after vehicle slams into tree; flight for life called for transport

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Pleasant Prairie police say a woman is in the hospital after her vehicle collided with a tree overnight on Sun. Feb. 23.
Officials say a 36-year-old woman from Zion, Illinois suffered major injuries in the single vehicle crash that happened near Sheridan Rd. and 92nd Pl.
Due to the nature of the injuries, flight for life was called and the woman was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Police say she is expected to survive.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
