37-year-old Milwaukee man dead after double shooting near 15th and Mitchell

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 37-year-old Milwaukee man sustained fatal injuries during a double shooting that occurred near 15th and Mitchell Friday, Aug. 7 around 9 a.m.

According to Milwaukee police, a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman sustained non-life threatening injuries. She is being treated at a local hospital.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. There are currently no suspects.

Milwaukee police are also investigating a separate shooting that occurred on Thursday, Aug. 6 around 8:45 p.m. near 52nd and Center. The victim, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, was standing outside as occupants of a vehicle fired several shots. The victim was subsequently struck and walked into a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Milwaukee Police continues to seek unknown suspects.
