4 charged in Beaver Dam home burglary; cash and jewelry recovered in Grafton

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Four suspects have officially been charged in connection to a Beaver Dam burglary and tactical incident. 

The Ozaukee County District Attorney's Office identified the suspects as: 

  • Dominick Luna, age 32, of Houston, Texas
  • Jhon Gonzalez-Caicedo, age 27, of Colombia
  • Wilver Manyoma-Mejia, age 42, of Colombia
  • Andres Mauricio Melvis-Hurtado, age 37, of Colombia

Officials say the suspects were staying in a short-term vacation rental in Grafton. During a search of the residence, investigators recovered a damaged and opened safe, about $570,000, and jewelry consistent with the items stolen in the Beaver Dam burglary. 

According to the sheriff's office, investigators also located a list with more than 30 addresses in different areas of Wisconsin. At least three of the listed addresses had been burglarized previously, dating back to 2023.

Officials say the group appears to have targeted business owners of Asian descent throughout the Midwest. 

Each suspect has been charged with concealing stolen property (greater than $10,000) as a party to a crime.

Cash bond has been set at $1 million for each suspect.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Ozaukee County deputies arrested four people connected to a residential burglary in the City of Beaver Dam. 

Law enforcement says a large amount of money and jewelry was reported stolen during the burglary. An investigation was launched and officers were able to indicate the suspect vehicle traveled into Ozaukee County after the burglary.

The next day, Jan. 28, around 3:35 a.m., while canvassing area around Lake Shore Road in the Town of Grafton, deputies with the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office found a vehicle that matched the suspect vehicle investigators were looking for. 

With assistance from other agencies, officers established a perimeter around the residence. Officers gave multiple commands for the occupants to leave the residence and two people fled from the back but retreated when confronted by officers. 

Eventually, four people exited the residence and were taken into custody. 

Charges are pending for the four suspects, and they are being held at the Ozaukee County Jail. 

Suspect names aren't being released until formal charges are filed. 

During the incident, a portion of Lake Shore Road and Falls Road was closed, and residents were asked to shelter in place. 

The area reopened around 7:37 a.m.
