MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Police Department is reporting on Monday, April 6 that an arrest has been made involving the death of 40-year-old Tremayne Montgomery.

A 50-year-old man is the one who has been arrested in connection to the shooting, with criminal charges set to be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.


MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) – Family members of the man shot and killed just before midnight on Easter gathered to remember him on Sunday, April 5.

Sommer Jordan said her brother, Tremayne (Trell) Montgomery, was at a bar near Fond du Lac and Armitage on Saturday night. Family members say a confrontation between Montgomery and another person escalated and he was shot several times.

“I was in disbelief. I couldn’t believe it. Another victim to our society. One of mine,” Jordan said. “It’s different when it hits home.

Jordan said Montgomery was a father of four and grandfather of two. His siblings, cousins and friends say he was a loving man who cared deeply for his family.

The mother of Montgomery started a GoFundMe to help with the cost of memorial services.
