MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police say a 44-year-old is dead after two vehicles collided early Sat. Feb. 22nd. 

Police say it happened at around 2:20 a.m. in the area of Grantosa Dr. and Hampton Ave.

Officials say a driver traveling westbound on Hampton Ave. crashed into another vehicle who was initially traveling eastbound on Hampton Ave. before attempting to turn northbound onto W. Grantosa Dr. 

The driver of the first vehicle died as a result of the crash. 

The investigation is ongoing. 

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
