$50,000 winning Powerball ticket sold at West Allis Pick 'n Save
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Someone is holding on to a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket sold in West Allis.
The ticket was purchased at Pick 'N Save on 6760 W. National Ave. in West Allis for the Wednesday, Aug. 16 drawing.
The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (9-11-17-19-55) plus the Powerball (1).
According to the Wisconsin Lottery, the West Allis Powerball win is the third big Powerball prize won in August so far. On Aug. 9, a $100,000 Powerball winning ticket was sold at Kwik Trip in Luxemburg and on Aug. 7, a $50,000 Powerball winning ticket was purchased at Kwik Trip in Appleton.
The Wisconsin Lottery says this is not the first significant win at the West Allis Pick 'n Save. During the last four years, the Lottery retailer sold winning scratch tickets of $100,000 and $60,000 and in 2019, sold a $63,000 Badger 5 jackpot. In addition, the store has had nine Straight play Pick 4 wins of either $2,500 or $5,000.
The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130 and the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
