Here are some Thanksgiving meals using local dairy products
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and Ducks Unlimited are launching a new Reforestation and Wetland Restoration program.
"Changing the future of our water, habitat and climate is a big mission, and it's going to take more than five shovels to accomplish it."
Officials say 6,000,000 trees will be planted and 4,000 acres of wetland in the Milwaukee area will be restored over a 10-year span.
Tuesday, the first tree was planted at the Mequon Nature Preserve.
"This mission is both an environmental and economic necessity for Wisconsin," said Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin).
In this first year, officials say 75,000 trees will be planted.
