62-year-old Kenosha man struck by vehicle, driver arrested

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Troy Wohlgefahrt of Kenosha.

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 62-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Kenosha on Saturday, June 8. 

It happened near 63rd and Sheridan around 8:58 p.m. 

According to the Kenosha Police Department, they were called to investigate an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Police say the 62-year-old Kenosha man was trapped under the car. The Kenosha Fire Department freed the man but had significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say the driver of the vehicle was a 37-year-old woman from Waukegan, Illinois. It is believed she was under the influence of THC. The 37-year-old was arrested and taken to the Kenosha County Jail.

Authorities say the woman is charged with OWI causing death and driving with a suspended license.
