Summer Gallery Night MKE returns this weekend with 50+ art venues
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A decades long tradition continued at St. Joan Antida High School on Sunday, Nov. 5.
The school held its 68th annual "Spaghetti with the Sisters" fundraiser.
The funds raised from their well-loved spaghetti and meatballs help support the 200 students who do not pay tuition to attend the school.
This is the biggest fundraiser for the all-girls school. It started in 1955 when parents wanted to organize something to help the school out.
"The favorite meal of the students was the spaghetti dinner that was served at lunchtime, and the recipe was from Sister Lucy," said Marikris Croyell, President of St. Joan Antida High school.
"The recipe has not changed, and since then, we've been able to offer this fundraiser."
The fundraiser ended at 6:00 p.m.
If you missed today, organizers say they will likely have leftovers, and to contact the school if you want to pick up an order.
