Death of missing 22-year-old recovered in Pewaukee Lake ruled a drowning

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' Bureau of Law Enforcement has concluded its investigation of a reported missing 22-year-old Germantown resident at Pewaukee Lake on July 18 as a drowning.
According to officials, Austin Timple was located and recovered in the northeast section of Pewaukee Lake and pronounced deceased by the local Medical Examiner on scene Monday, July 20 at 7:56 a.m.

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department identified Austin S. Timple of Germantown as the 22-year-old man who went missing in Pewaukee Lake Saturday, July 18. Timple was pronounced dead by the Medical Examiner on scene.
On Saturday around 4:55 p.m., the Waukesha County Communications Center received a call regarding a man missing in Pewaukee Lake. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Village of Pewaukee Police Department, City of Pewaukee, Town of Delafield and Western Lakes Fire Departments responded.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Timple was swimming in the lake near a boat with friends when he "started having issues and called out for help". Officials say his friends attempted to assist him before he went under the water. The friends called 911 and searched the immediate area in the boat.
A rescue and recovery operation was conducted immediately by boat patrol units, fire rescue divers and law enforcement recovery divers. It was led by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department with assistance from Walworth County Sheriff's Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Village of Pewaukee Police Department. The operation continued until Monday, July 20, according to officials.
Timple was recovered in the northeast section of Pewaukee Lake and pronounced dead on scene.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Department of Natural Resources.

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Village of Pewaukee police confirmed the body of the missing 22-year-old on Pewaukee Lake has been recovered.
The identity of the man is yet to be released.

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A water rescue is underway in the City of Pewaukee as multiple agencies are searching for a man who went missing on Pewaukee Lake around 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18.
According to police, three people had been swimming near their boat when the 22-year-old man became distressed and had gone under the water and did not resurface. Officials say the man was with four of his friends who are all okay.
The Village police chief says the area where they were is about seven feet deep and is a weedy area.
Pewaukee Lake Patrol, Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Pewaukee Fire Department, Western Lake Fire Department and the Town of Delafield Fire Department dive and rescue unit were unsuccessful locating the missing person last night. The investigation is ongoing. The recovery operation was suspended at dusk on Saturday, July 18. It has since resumed at 7 a.m. Sunday, July 19.
