MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Two people were injured, one critically, in a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening at the Zoo Interchange.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched around 7 p.m. to the southbound U.S. 41 to eastbound I-94 ramp for a report of a motorcycle crash.

Deputies and crews from the Milwaukee Fire Department responded and transported two people to Froedtert Hospital with traumatic injuries.

Officials said a man is in critical condition, while a woman is in stable condition.

The sheriff's office said its reconstruction unit has been called to document the scene and preserve evidence because of the severity of the crash.

The southbound U.S. 41 to eastbound I-94 ramp is expected to remain closed for about three hours. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
