FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Tuesday, Aug. 16, a U.S. Navy veteran got to live out what he calls "a dream come true."
Steve Johnson gained popularity on social media for his unique singing voice after the Milwaukee VA Medical Center shared a video of him singing the National Anthem.
"Started to be shared more and more, it's becoming a little more viral," said Caitlin Armson of the Milwaukee VA.
Tuesday, Johnson got the chance to sing in front of hundreds of fans at Franklin Field.
Armson told us it has been a lifelong dream for Johnson to sing in front of a large crowd.
The post reached thousands, and among the people who saw the post were members of the Milwaukee Milkmen.
"I right away went to messenger and say hey, I can actually make this happen," said Steve Taylor, executive director of ROC Foundation.
Caretakers of Johnson said this is just the start.
They told CBS 58 Johnson wants to perform for the Milwaukee Brewers and even the White House.
