A little rain tonight followed a more beneficial rainfall Sunday - Monday
Rain has been scarce in September with less than 0.10" of rain this month across the entire area. Some spots haven't had any rain since August!
The extremely dry weather over the last 30 days has rapidly caused abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions to develop across both southern and northern Wisconsin.
For the first time in weeks, we actually have a chance of rain tonight. A line of storms will develop in western Wisconsin this evening and will weaken as it moves east overnight.
Rain won't reach SE WI until closer to midnight, and it'll be pretty light at that point. Less than 0.10" of rain is expected tonight
Tonight's rain won't be a drought-buster, but a steadier, more beneficial rainfall arrives Sunday and Monday. Between a half inch and an inch of rain is expected tonight through Monday.
The arrival of rain later this weekend will knock the warm temps out of here, but it'll be warm and humid until then. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App for the full forecast.
