WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- After much speculation, the Barron County Sheriff says the investigation in Walworth County is not connected to Jayme Closs.

By some accounts, police have been on scene of the rural farm in East Troy for more than a day.

Neighbors say officials from five law enforcement agencies first showed up at a home on Wednesday night.

"I don't know a whole lot. It is one of those creepy houses where you never know what could be going on behind closed doors," said neighbor Clint Johnson.

Bob Kabbenhoft lives next door and didn't think anyone lived in the home that was being investigated.

"The man I believe owns it is in Florida now and it has been sitting empty for four for five years now I believe," Kabbenhoft said.

Neighbors still don't know what to make of the situation.

"I've heard everything from drugs to a missing person whether they're alive or deceased, I guess we're just going to find out."

"This has been a pretty safe neighborhood and I'd hate to see it change."
