Milwaukee alderman raises concerns over safety after Brady Street Biker Bash
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee alderman is raising serious concerns about a biker party on Brady Street -- just days after Harley Davidson threw its annual Homecoming celebration. It was a four-day event.
Brostoff said in a statement that the celebration on east Brady Street on Saturday included violent confrontations, and he says there was not enough security for the size of the crowd.
Brostoff does not get any more specific than that. He says he will not support future Brady Street celebrations if Harley or the Brady Street Business Improvement District (BID) doesn't help "cushion the strain on city resources."
The Brady Street Business Improvement District said in a statement, in part:
"We want to assure you that as the Brady Street BID, we are committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and success of future events."
