Sheriff's Office: 2 shot during road rage incident on I-43 near Walnut Street

UPDATE: MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people are recovering after being shot during an alleged road rage incident on I-43.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office was called out to I-43 near Walnut Street around 3:20 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting.
According to the Sheriff's Office, two people were shot and taken to a local hospital.
It's believed that the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident.
A freeway closure occurred while deputies looked for evidence.
The freeway was reopened around 6 p.m.
The investigation remains ongoing.

UPDATE: MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- All lanes of traffic are now open after a law enforcement incident shut down NB lanes on I-43 at Fond du Lac earlier this evening.
There is currently no word on what law enforcement was investigating.

Traffic is being diverted off of I-43 at Fond du Lac Avenue.
I-43 NB full freeway closure - traffic off at Fond du Lac Ave. and back on at Locust. Expected several hour duration.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department is handling the incident.
It is believed that the lanes will be blocked for over two hours.
