MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- This past Tuesday was the All-Star game, with the National League taking the victory against the American League 7-6. Two Milwaukee Brewers pitchers helped seal the victory after the American League rallied back from a 6-0 deficit, the biggest comeback in All- Star game history.

The pitching phenom Jacob “The Miz” Misiorowski earned his first All-Star nod after only five career starts. He pitched in the eighth inning throwing 18 pitches with 13 for strikes. He retired three of the four batters he faced, allowing only a single. “The Miz” has a 2.81 ERA and 33 strikeouts to just 12 hits and a 4-1 record.

Brewers closer Trevor Megill came into the game with two outs in the seventh and retired the only batter he faced on four pitches. With the Brewers this season, Megill has a 2.41 ERA, 43 strikeouts, and is second in the National League with 21 saves.

The Crew has won 56 games before the All-Star break, a franchise record, and have won 35 of their last 50 games. Riding their second-longest winning streak of the season at seven games, the Brewers are one game behind the Chicago Cubs for the division crown in the NL Central going into the second half of the season. 26 games remain against the division opponents with the next division series coming on July 28th against the Cubs.

The second half of the season gets underway on Friday for the Brewers on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers. First pitch is set for 9:10pm. The Brewers and the Dodgers faced each other in Milwaukee just a week ago with the Brewers sweeping the Dodgers at home for the first time in franchise history.
