BARABOO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A statewide Amber Alert was called off Tuesday morning after search crews in Baraboo found the body of a 10-year-old girl.

Kodie Dutcher went missing at around 4 in the afternoon Monday, July 6.

Her body was found at 11 a.m. Tuesday about a half mile from where she was last seen.

"The family, from my understanding, is devastated, as we all are," said Lt. Ryan Labroscian of the Baraboo Police Department. "We wanted to find Kodie alive and well. That was the goal from the time we received the call, and that's what we were out there doing, trying to find her."

The initial investigation began at her house, where police found a note in which they said Kodie threatened to harm herself.

Officials say she didn't show any previous signs of self-harm.

The family is newer to the area, having just moved to Baraboo in April.
