'And That's Why We Drink' brings paranormal and true crime tales to Pabst Theater

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Pabst Theater is set to host a live show of the podcast "And That's Why We Drink" on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2024, at 8 p.m. The event features hosts Em Schulz and Christine Schiefer, who will explore paranormal and true-crime stories.

Schulz and Schiefer have been presenting their blend of paranormal tales and true-crime stories since Feb. 2017.

Their podcast has achieved significant milestones, touting over 196 million lifetime downloads and several awards. Recognitions for the podcast include the People’s Voice “Webby” award for Best Comedy Podcast in 2019, 2021 and 2022, as well as the People’s Choice Podcast Award in the Comedy Category for 2022 and 2023.

The live show at Pabst Theater is an extension of their work, incorporating elements from their book "A Haunted Road Atlas" and the podcast's themes.
