Up and down temps for the weekend
Southeast Wisconsin finally got the soaking rain it needed after three weeks of mostly dry weather. In fact, some areas got a little too much, but this a drought busting rain in many locations with 1-4" of fresh rain falling Saturday evening through Sunday and some isolated locations getting even more.
In Milwaukee, the 1" of rainfall over the weekend helps the September rainfall total but is still well below average by this point of the month when typical Septembers have over 2" of rain.
Monday is the first full day of Autumn and will be a really nice day to dry out with sunshine and a mix of sun and clouds. The next rain chance arrives Monday night with some isolated showers then Tuesday has a chance for rain in some areas. Some northern and western counties likely don't get much if any rain but areas along and south of I-94 have the better chance to see more rain with showers off and on throughout the day.
Rain totals by the end of Tuesday could reach 0.25-0.50" especially in communities near the IL border and towards Lake Michigan. Counties north of there might not get much at all.
