Another day of heat and humidity before rain chances return

NOW: Another day of heat and humidity before rain chances return
NEXT:

Labor Day was hot and humid across southeast Wisconsin. Highs reached the upper 80s and low 90s across the area but once you factor in humidity it felt more like the middle 90s for many hometowns.

The high of 93* in Milwaukee broke the old record of 92* set in 1990. It's our second day in a row tying or breaking a record high. We are still on record watch Tuesday with a high of 92* coming close to the current record of 94*. While the record high may be out of reach Tuesday, we are also watching the record warmest low record. So far, Milwaukee has only dipped to 77* which if stays true through midnight Tuesday night would shatter the old warmest low temperature of 73* set back in 1912.

In addition to the heat on Tuesday it remains humid with peak dew points around 70*. Feels like temps will once again reach the middle to upper 90s. While Wednesday isn't as hot with highs in the 80s it will still be very humid with dew points around 70*. Thursday will see big relief from the humidity with dew points dropping to comfortable levels in the 50s.

The middle of the week will also feature rain chances returning. An isolated evening storm is possible Tuesday with better chances after midnight and throughout the day Wednesday. A shower may linger into early Thursday before drying out for the end of the week and weekend.
