Another round of wet snow moves in Sunday night

NOW: Another round of wet snow moves in Sunday night
NEXT:

Update as of 7:00 am Sunday, April 3rd...

Beside the fog, we're nice and quiet to start the day.  But this will change into tonight when snow breaks out, and it could mix with rain.  A slushy accumulation is possible, especially along and north of I-94.  This will continue much of Monday morning.  1 to 4" of total accumulation can be expected.  South of I-94 not expecting much because it'll be mainly rain.  Then we have to deal with rain on Wednesday (and milder temps in the 50s) followed by more wintry mix Thursday and Friday.  Much better weather coming next week.

The accumulating snow has moved out of southeast Wisconsin this evening, but not after dropping between .5-2" of slushy snow on the grass, especially in areas along and south of I-94.

A few isolated rain showers are possible late this evening as a front moves through.

We'll dry out after midnight today and remain dry for the daylight hours on Sunday, but our next weather maker moves in by Sunday evening.

While the precipitation will be rain as it approaches southeast Wisconsin, rain will likely changeover to wet snow as it initially moves in.

Wet snow changes to rain south of I-94 overnight Sunday night, but will continue as wet snow north of I-94 through the night.

This round of rain and wet snow will primarily fall between 10 pm Sunday and 7 am Monday, but a few wrap around rain/snow showers are possible through Monday morning. Areas north of I-94 could pick up an additional 1-4" of wet snow (mainly on the grass) Sunday night. Folks right along I-94 could see 1-2" of wet snow while little to no accumulation is expected to the south.

Some slick spots will be possible north of I-94 early Monday morning, but roads will primarily be wet and a little slush just like today and this past Thursday. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to see if that's our only chance of snow this week.
