MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The strange disappearance of a man just south of the state line has prompted his family to announce a $10,000 reward in the case.
Twenty-four-year-old Tommy Howe walked away from a crash on I-94 near Lambs Farm around 11 a.m. on Jan. 22.
A witness saw him heading towards the old school forest preserve.
Police searched the woods and found his cellphone near a walking trail.
The trail leads up into southeast Wisconsin, and Antioch police have received multiple tips on possible sightings of Howe in the area.
His tearful parents had a message for Tommy at a news conference Friday morning.
"Tommy, if you see this and if you are confused, please know and remember how deep our love and care is for you and the strong bond that our family has," said Mary Margaret Howe, Tommy's mom.
Antioch police are unsure how badly Howe may have been injured.
Airbags went off in the accident.
