AppeThai celebrates a decade of its authentic Thai cuisine in Brown Deer
CBS 58 BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Brown Deer restaurant has been serving authentic Thai recipes for ten years. Bang Tongkumbunjong brought his passion for cooking and his family recipes from Thailand all the way to Wisconsin.
Today, his food is a favorite for many in the community. From Pad Thai plates to Drunken noodles and crab Rangoon, the food still tastes home-made with Tongkumbunjong in the kitchen Tuesday through Saturday.
"Everybody knows fried rice," Bang said on Monday, Aug. 3. "But once you have fried rice here, I would say you can't have fried rice anywhere else."
While you can get the full dining experience at the restaurant on Brown Deer Road, you can also find AppeThai’s food truck at community events, and you may even see them catering private parties.
