MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Potawatomi Casino Hotel unveiled their new multimillion dollar game room on Thursday, Sept. 7.
The project was a two-year endeavor.
The room is decked out with two new gaming sections, a new bar, and a restaurant, with more than 300 new slot machines.
"We are not competing regionally anymore, we are competing against Vegas," said Dominic Ortiz, CEO of Potawatomi Casino Hotel.
Ortiz said the renovation of the casino is meant to add value to the Cream City.
"We want to help the city elevate all of the ambiance and continue to help the growth and be behind what we see the city leaders pushing for Milwaukee," said Ortiz.
A shared vision just across the city, where leaders gave an update to the highly anticipated Couture Building.
"It is with immense pride we field the opportunity to add yet another iconic building to the Milwaukee skyline," said a project worker.
The 44-story building is slated to hold more than 300 apartment units.
These two new developments adding hundreds of jobs to Milwaukee's labor force, something city leaders say was needed now more than ever.
"It doesn’t matter what neighborhood you live in, what your background is, you got an opportunity to have a family supporting career to create stability in your life, your neighborhood’s life, and also the city," said Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson.
The Couture Building is scheduled to open in 2024.
