MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A mural is blossoming on the side of Milwaukee's new Sherman Phoenix.
It's being painted by a Detroit-based artist, who says it's about overcoming adversity.
She tells us the finished painting will be of a local artist born and raised in the Sherman Park neighborhood.
"It's about this neighborhood, about this community," said artist Sydney G. James. "We always rise, no matter what, we always rise. And that's really the overall theme of this piece."
Some Chicago artists are helping out on the project.
They were aiming to finish the mural later, but said they'd finish it Wednesday night due to rain in the forecast.
