Aurora Health Care to temporarily restrict NICU visitors under age 12 due to flu

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Aurora Health Care is placing a temporary restriction on visitors to the neonatal intensive care units (NICU) at Aurora Sinai Medical Center and Aurora West Allis Medical Center, due to the flu.

Beginning Friday, February 9, visitors under the age of 12 will not be allowed into the neonatal intensive care units at Aurora Health Center medical centers. The temporary restriction on visitation will help reduce exposure to influenza and viral infections. Aurora will reassess the restriction regularly as new information about the flu season becomes available.

Froedtert and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin have also placed temporary visitor restrictions due to the flu.
