MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Holiday music is now playing around the clock on B97.3 (WRNW), and one of the station's on-air personalities jokes that Santa approved the early start.

The iHeartMedia station switched the station to holiday music early Friday, Nov. 6. The lineup includes classics from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Mariah Carey.

On-air personality Joe Krauss said the station checked with the North Pole first. "We talked to the big guy at the North Pole, and he said, 'You know what? Let's ride that Brewers wave and go right into Christmas a little bit early.'"

Krauss also said recent temperatures and what the station is hearing from listeners played a part.
