MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Babbling Babes, a Milwaukee-based social club for mothers, is hosting events to help local moms combat social isolation and loneliness. Founder Stephanie Ciatti joined us to chat about the organization’s efforts on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Created to address that 55% of new mothers adapt to the loss of their pre-baby social life, Babbling Babes organizes events each month. Activities include coffee dates, book clubs, volunteer gatherings and staycations at local hotels and restaurants.
Ciatti has also developed an app called The Village that allows mothers to connect and arrange meetups, aiming to build a supportive community.
Upcoming events include a brunch with Santa at Harley-Davidson on Sunday, Dec. 1 and a playdate at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Friday, Dec. 13 featuring story time, music, crafts and coffee for parents.
Additional information can be found by visiting Babbling Babes online.
