MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Best Buddies Leadership Conference is headed for Bloomington, Ind., bringing together peer leaders and advocates from around the world to promote inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The global event, hosted by Best Buddies International, will feature a weekend of educational programming, networking and advocacy workshops.
Jennifer Walkowiak, a board member and former board chair, and Kiontis Gallion, a global ambassador for Best Buddies, joined us Wednesday, June 18, to preview the event. They discussed opportunities for attendees to share strategies and develop leadership skills in the disability inclusion movement.
The conference will be held Thursday through Monday, July 18 - 21. More information can be found by clicking here.
