MILWAUKEE (CBS) -- If you're interested in new campaign merch supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, you may have to wait a while.
The campaign headquarters for Milwaukee Democrats in Bay View was bustling Monday, with dozens of people stopping by requesting campaign yard signs for Harris in wake of President Joe Biden's exit from the presidential race. But many were turned away empty-handed.
"We've had more than 50 people call asking us about yard signs and about the VP's visit tomorrow," said Garry Losey, office manager at the Democratic Party of Milwaukee. "I have already disposed of some of the Biden-Harris signs and looking forward to filling the office again [with new ones]."
Losey said the campaign has given them minimal information on when new campaign merchandise will be available but suspects it will arrive in a few weeks.
"Just hang in there," Losey's advice was to voters. "We're very organized at this point and information is slow, but at the same time it's been very specific. We're all coming together in support of the vice president."
