MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Billy Joel announced his tour stop at American Family Field -- set for Saturday, April 26 -- will be rescheduled due to a medical condition. 

“While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding," Joel said in a statement on social media Tuesday, March 11. 

Joel was set to perform a joint concert with Sting, featuring both musicians performing decades worth of hits. 

According to the social media statement, Joel's current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from a recent surgery and undergo physical therapy. 

The rescheduled date for the show at AmFam Field is to be determined. All purchased tickets will automatically be valid for the rescheduled shows.
