MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- What's the next step after the George Floyd demonstrations? Milwaukee's Original Black Panthers offered a plan on Tuesday, June 2.
"You've got Milwaukee's attention right now, young people," said King Rick, Black Panthers spokesman.
King Rick with the Milwaukee Black Panthers held a news conference, calling for the young protesters to "flip the script" and take their case from the streets to City Hall.
"We have to go downtown to the common council meetings, to the mayor's office and demand an economic development plan be placed in effect immediately for the impoverished black and brown community," King Rick said.
King Rick announced plans for a community cleanup and barbecue on Sunday, June 7.
He said 100 young people will be recruited and paid for their work.
