MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Black Travel Summit has announced that the themed "Renaissance: Rebirth. Renew. Reclaim," will take place in Milwaukee next year 2026.

Founder and CEO of the Black Travel Summit Anita Moreau said in a press release by Visit Milwaukee, "Milwaukee's commitment to honoring Black history, supporting local entrepreneurs and building a more inclusive visitor economy makes it a powerful next chapter for our summit."

The 2026 theme, states the press release, will build off the 2025 gathering at Rio De Janeiro in celebrating innovation across the Black travel ecosystem. The summit will meet with creators, professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and destination partners, with programming to include main stage conversations, skills and strategy sessions, B2B matchmaking and a curated city experience. All in an effort to connect attendees with Milwaukee's neighborhoods, cultural institutions and local businesses.

"Partnering with Milwaukee allows us to encourage the growth of new tours and experiences that tell fuller stories drawn from the rich history, creativity and resilience of Milwaukee's Black community," said Chief Operating Officer of the Black Travel Summit Eulanda Shead Osagiede.

Dates, host hotel and partnership opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
