Bodycam video released into officer-involved shooting near 60th and Center

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Body camera video has been released into an officer-involved shooting that ended with a 31-year-old man dead. 

It happened Saturday, Aug. 9 near 60th and Center. 

Police went to the area around 7 p.m. to investigate a vehicle related to multiple robberies. Once there, the vehicle was located in the rear of the residence along with an armed suspect on a rear upstairs porch. 

The armed man was given several commands by police to drop the gun but refused. Gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and officers and the suspect was subsequently struck. 

Milwaukee police shared videos from two body cameras worn by officers at the scene HERE. Warning, viewer discretion is advised.

The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Dandre McIntosh, sustained fatal gunshot injuries. 

The four officers that discharged their firearm are a 46-year-old male with over 21 years of service, a 36-year-old male with over 8 years of service, a 30-year-old male with over 5 years of service and a 29-year-old male with over 11 years of service. Our officers were placed on administrative duty as is routine in officer involved shootings.

The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team is investigating this incident. The Brookfield Police Department is the lead agency.

The investigation is still ongoing.
