Brewers 'cheers' to coach Craig Counsell with $5.63 tickets for breaking record

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are celebrating Manager Craig Counsell’s win over the Washington Nationals and reaching 563 wins, which ties for the most managerial wins in franchise history. With the win, Counsell, who is the longest-tenured active manager in the National League and the third longest-tenured active manager in MLB, ties Phil Garner (563 wins/1,180 games managed).

As an official “cheers” to Counsell’s milestone, Miller Lite is offering 5,000 tickets available for $5.63, for each game between June 20-22 against the St. Louis Cardinals. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (limit of eight tickets per person).

Counsell was named the 19th manager in franchise history in 2015. Now in his eighth season as Brewers manager and seventh full season, only the Guardians' Terry Francona and Rays Kevin Cash have longer active tenures with their current teams.

Tickets are available at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14 here.
