Brewers kick off Negro League Tribute Game celebrations with visit to Aurora's Midtown Clinic

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Aug. 18, the Milwaukee Brewers are hosting their annual Negro League Tribute Game.

Ahead of that, the Brew Crew kicked off a week of celebration by visiting patients at Aurora's Midtown Clinic.

Brewers Associate Manager Rickie Weeks met with people and gave out hats with the Milwaukee Bears logo.

The Bears were a part of the Negro National League in 1923.

Leading up to the tribute game, the Brewers are celebrating the legacy of the Negro Leagues.

If you want a hat, they are included in a ticket package for the tribute game.

There will also be a traveling museum located on the Loge level of the ballpark so fans can learn more about the Negro Leagues.
