MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Rick Schlesinger, the Brewers president of business operations, says the organization is "obviously elated" about Tuesday's Senate vote.
He's confident that the governor will sign the funding bill soon, and he says some of the first areas of the park that will be addressed include concrete repairs, cooler and refrigeration systems and broadcast infrastructure.
"We now can all go to sleep tonight knowing that the Brewers are gonna be here for the next generation in a great, beautifully maintained ballpark that is worthy of the fans' support," Schlesinger said.
When asked directly about the Brewers' contribution to the funding plan, Schlesinger said it's a little over $150 million on top of the rent that the team pays.
