Wild Card Series: Brewers roster set, ready for Game 1 vs. Mets

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Major League Baseball (MLB) season is a marathon, but the Wild Car Series is a spring -- a best of three series means every mistake is huge.

Since the MLB expanded the playoffs, there have been eight Wild Card series. The team that won game one has won all eight of them, sweeping seven.

Despite that pressure, the Brewers have stayed loose as they hope to win their first series since 2018.

As closer Devin Williams told CBS 58's Scott Grodsky, the team is so young, they only know how to play at 100% speed, so the playoffs are no different.

The Brewers just finalized their roster for the series, no huge surprises. Injured outfielder Sal Frelick is on the roster.

The biggest names left off are probably Colin Rea and Bryan Hudson, both could play in the next round if the Brewers advance.

Game one starts at 4:30 p.m.
