MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- When he's not making highlights on the baseball field, Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio is also a star in the kitchen.

Aurora Health Care teamed up with the Brewers Wednesday, July 1, to surprise longtime nurse and baseball fan Carlisa Romero with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Chourio and Romero made chicken tamales together to celebrate the Brewers' upcoming Noche de Cerveceros.

Romero is a nurse practitioner at Aurora Walker's Point Community Clinic.

The surprise was planned in honor of her "deep commitment to caring for underserved patients in her community." Romero has been serving the community for more than 15 years. She tells us it's a full circle moment being from the community she gets to serve every day.

"I think it's really important to know different languages, especially in healthcare, because we have to sort of like break down the barriers in languages, one of those things, and I think that because of that, I think we're able to help keep the community that doesn't have health insurance healthy," Romero said. "Today I was told that I was going to come take a cooking class and that I would get free tickets to the Brewers. And so we came, and then to my surprise, also Jackson Chourio came to cook with us. It was really exciting."

We asked Chourio what was harder, cooking tamales or playing baseball. He said both have their own unique challenges.

Noche de Cerveceros will take place at American Family Field July 17.
